About Viv Walker

Dr. Viv Walker is a founding director of Turning Point Consulting Ltd.  She loves good friendships, hearing peoples' stories, walking, singing, listening to music, traveling, good coffee or tea, and reading.  

Dr. Walker is Med Director of Palliative Care Services in Saskatoon. She has practiced medicine for over 35 years: first in full family practice, in oncology, and more recently in palliative and hospice care.

Married to Keith, they are the parents of seven adults and two grandchildren: MacKenzie, Gillian and her husband Cody, Eric and his wife, and James and his wife Martha.

She is a member of the Board of Directors for St. Paul's Hospital Foundation and 'is a passionate advocate for patients and their families facing life-limiting illnesses, including end-of-life journeys'.  As a member of the SPH Foundation Board of Directors, Dr. Walker has been one of many to champion the "Close to Home" Campaign, which raised over $20 Million for the development of Saskatoon's first free-standing Hospice. Current Work

As a member of the Board of Directors for the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation, Dr. Walker has been involved in a leadership capacity for the “Close To Home Campaign”. The campaign had the goal of raising $20 million for the development of Saskatoon’s first free standing hospice building. With Dr. Walker’s involvement, the campaign successfully raised over 100% of the necessary funds, resulting in the completion and opening of the Hospice January of 2021.
